Today marketing is playing key role in the success of any business. In a shopping plaza, you see lot of shops selling different brands of different products. One thing is common they invest heavily on marketing of their products. Sometimes cost of product includes more than 50% marketing cost. Logo of the product is the sign of quality for customers. Customers trust blindly on their favorite brands and don't hesitate to pay any amount.

Edge on Competitor:  You must know strengths and weaknesses of your competitors. Their weakness can be your strengths if your product have those qualities which competitor product don't have. Competitive edge can be any i.e cost, quality, knowledge, technology etc

Wins Client Confidence: Marketing is an ongoing process its not something you just did in the start of the business and that's it. Business has to keep observing the changing demands of their customers. Recently Nestle Pakistan has invited its customers to visit the factory and see the whole process of milk preservation. Urea was found in the milk samples taken by the Government Food Department from renowned milk brands. So in order to win the trust of its customers again Nestle has taken this step.

Online Presence:  Even a small businesses have a website and facebook page today. Rich customers like to buy online and they go to famous online portals like Daraz.pk, Alibaba, Amazon etc to do the shopping to save time. 1 billion rupees sales recorded on Black Friday at Daraz.pk. Email & Sms marketing are other tools of online advertisement. Mailchimp is providing free email marketing service.
Affiliate networking is not only cheap but also very effective. Some companies like Tianshi & Oriflame are running their businesses on many countries without TV advertisement which is the most costly.

Charity: Last but not the least if possible do some charity people respect businesses which donate more and meet their social responsibilities.

Rental Income Spouse

Where the married couple has rental income from property, they can reduce the taxes by doing some good tax planning. If the property is owned jointly, both can claim rental income 50:50 in their tax returns regardless of ownership ratio (which can be different from 50:50). So it means rental income sharing can be 50:50 if ownership ratio is 40:60 or rental income sharing can be 30:70 if the ownership ratio is 30:70 etc. What is not possible is rental income sharing of 10:90 and ownership ratio is 60:40. But in case of disposal of property capital gains or losses will be shared in the ownership ratio. No inheritance tax in case of gift of property between spouses if married couple have same domicile (Uk or Non UK).  Form 17 is required to be filled to HMRC if rental income is shared by married couple within 60 days.
