Starting a business is very risky and most of the people hesitant to be a businessman. But some people have natural tendency to take high risks because they want high returns quickly. Business is the best way to earn high returns. But the problem is if somebody is starting a new business he needs some guidance because business is not just buying and selling. Planning and skills are key factors to make the business successful.

SCORE Association (previously Service Corps of Retired Executives),based in Herndon,Virginia, is providing platform for the last 50 years where free business mentoring is available to someone wants to start small business in US. Association is dedicated to educate and the formation, growth and success of small businesses. It is helping by “providing resources and expertise to maximize the success of existing and emerging." 

If someone is expert in any business field and wants to provide free advice for small business owners or transfer his knowledge to local community he can register as a volunteer. Similarly if somebody wants free coaching and training to start a business and have skills but lacks experience he can find mentor and take a workshop which can be very useful. The good thing is you can find someone local. Usually if you are in different time zones its sometimes very difficult to get fee service because mostly people provide services only few hours a week or month. Online and face to face meetings are available to get small business startup tips. Workshops are mostly in the form of powerpoint presentation.

Rental Income Spouse

Where the married couple has rental income from property, they can reduce the taxes by doing some good tax planning. If the property is owned jointly, both can claim rental income 50:50 in their tax returns regardless of ownership ratio (which can be different from 50:50). So it means rental income sharing can be 50:50 if ownership ratio is 40:60 or rental income sharing can be 30:70 if the ownership ratio is 30:70 etc. What is not possible is rental income sharing of 10:90 and ownership ratio is 60:40. But in case of disposal of property capital gains or losses will be shared in the ownership ratio. No inheritance tax in case of gift of property between spouses if married couple have same domicile (Uk or Non UK).  Form 17 is required to be filled to HMRC if rental income is shared by married couple within 60 days.
